the paris review: 246/365

For the last year, I’ve had a subscription to The Paris Review–mainly for the interviews–Lydia Davis, Elena Ferrante, Jane Smiley. I wish I could call up literary traditions the way they can–what Dickens contributed, for example, or the way marriage has been treated in novels over the years. I didn’t ever really study literature.

  1. I follow the Paris Review on Facebook and love what I read. I’m sure I don’t get to see all the articles that way, but I love what I do see. I will probably eventually get a subscription. Brain Pickings is another page I follow that is rich with interesting and accessible literary articles.
