trusty: 87/365

I know it’s only been two nights that I’ve been here in Minneapolis and written posts after I’m in for the evening, but already picking up my computer at the end of the day feels kind of like goodnight john boy, goodnight mary ellen. Do you know what I mean?

And tonight I went out to dinner, which was fun and delicious, but now  it’s late and I’m tired. So here’s the truth for today, something that came up during our dinner conversation: I am loyal, very very loyal. It sometimes prevents me from doing things I should do.

Until tomorrow.

  1. Without knowing the context, it’s hard to know what to say here. But, loyalty is always an excellent trait to have. There is not enough of it in the world these days. So, kudos for loyalty! And goodnight sweet Cynthia.

  2. And I think you’re loyal to yourself, which is a truly wonderful quality. You show up HERE, even when you’re tired and would rather not. If you run into Dani Shapiro out there, give her a hug for me.

    • Thanks, Donna! I agree–loyalty is a good thing, but perhaps I give it too much weight, perhaps I let it answer the question when it should only be one of factors… Going to need to need more time with this one.

      • These are the tough things in life to figure out, for sure. And I’m thinking it depends on the situation just how much weight it should have. I’m getting better (not great) at putting my needs first over the past few years, but after a life of the opposite (for the most part), it can be a battle! You’ll figure it out, I’m sure 🙂
